Each and every one of us have our own hidden places ,well maybe not so hidden since every one can access it,that we download legal and illegal books through every once in a while
Since we have decided to join forces to further accomplish our agenda it would be wise to share information
So please tell all about your sources
where do you download your ebooks or read helpful reviews
Basically share with us all your book related secrets
It would be highly appreciated if you could add a lil bit of personal note explaining the website and its contents

The Internet Archive (IA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building and maintaining a free and openly accessible online digital library, including an archive of the World Wide Web.
With offices located in the Presidio in San Francisco, California, and data centers in San Francisco, Redwood City, and Mountain View, CA, the archive includes "snapshots of the World Wide Web" (archived copies of pages, taken at various points in time), software, movies, books, and audio recordings. To ensure the stability and endurance of the Internet Archive, its collection is mirrored at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Egypt, so far the only library in the world with a mirror
The IA makes its collections available at no cost to researchers, historians, scholars, and the general public. It is a member of the American Library Association and is officially recognized by the State of California as a library
Texts collection
The texts collection includes digitized books from various libraries around the world as well as many special collections. As of October 2008, the Internet Archive operated 18 scanning centers in five countries, digitizing about 1,000 books a day, financially supported by libraries and foundations. As of November 2008, when there were about 1 million texts, the entire collection was over 0.5 pet bytes, which includes raw camera images, cropped and skewed images, PDFs, and raw OCR data.
Between about 2006 and 2008 Microsoft Corporation had a special relationship with Internet Archive texts through its Live Search Books project, scanning over 300,000 books which were contributed to the collection, as well as financial support and scanning equipment. On May 23, 2008 Microsoft announced it would be ending the Live Book Search project and no longer scanning books. Microsoft will be making its scanned books available without contractual restriction and making the scanning equipment available to its digitization partners and libraries to continue digitization programs.
Around October 2007 Internet Archive began importing book scans made by Google Book Search which are in the public domain. As of November 2008 there are over half a million such imports representing almost half of the total books on Internet Archive. The books are identical to the copies found on Google, except without the Google watermarks

Project Gutenberg, abbreviated as PG, is a volunteer effort to digitize and archive cultural works, to "encourage the creation and distribution of eBooks." Founded in 1971 by Michael S. Hart, it is the oldest digital library. Most of the items in its collection are the full texts of public domain books. The project tries to make these as free as possible, in long-lasting, open formats that can be used on almost any computer. As of March 2009[update], Project Gutenberg claimed over 28,000 items in its collection. Project Gutenberg is affiliated with many projects that are independent organizations which share the same ideals, and have been given permission to use the Project Gutenberg trademark.
Wherever possible, the releases are available in plain text, but other formats are included, such as HTML, PDF, EPUB, MOBI and Plucker. Most releases are in the English language, but many non-English works are also available. There are multiple affiliated projects that are providing additional content, including regional and language-specific works. Project Gutenberg is also closely affiliated with Distributed Proofreaders, an internet-based community for proofreading scanned texts
About this site
My name is Matthew McClintock, and I maintain manybooks.net as a service to the internet community at large.
If you would like to contact me please use this form.
Updates and information about the working of this site are chronicled in the Site News section, and in the section below called Conversion tools.
All of the eBooks from manybooks.net are free, however donations toward the maintenance of the site are welcome and help defray the cost of bandwidth, file storage, and server hardware..
Sources
Many of the etexts are from the November, 2003 Project Gutenberg DVD, which contains the entire Project Gutenberg archives except for the Human Genome Project and audio eBooks, due to size limitations, and the Project Gutenberg of Australia eBooks, due to copyright. As of July 2004 most current PG texts are available here, usually within the week of release. There are also public domain and creative commons works from many other sources.
Zip archives are stored in the same directory structure as on the DVD, with Author, Title, and related information stored in a MySQL database. Pages are built with PHP and served using the Apache webserver. The server is a 1.66GHz Intel Core Duo Mac mini running Mac OS X 10.4, located at macminicolo.net.
eBooks are generated on demand using a variety of tools, and cached using Amazon's S3 service - which means that the first time anyone requests an eBook in a particular format it will take a bit longer to deliver, but the next time that eBook is requested it will be sent immediately.
